Your Guide in Israel is Birte Edwards.

Neither Birte nor Edwards are Hebrew or Israeli names. Sorry. The first name is because I started my life in Copenhagen, Denmark. The last name is the name I received, when I married my husband(z”l), who was from England. The meeting between Denmark and England took place in Israel. After marrying we immigrated to Israel in 1971.

Some ten years later I took up the profession of a tour guide here in Israel. I must tell you that from the very beginning it became my love and passion. Nothing like showing off this wonderful, crazy, upside down country to visitors, whether they are Jewish, Christian, or just curious visitors.

Through the years I came to understand, how misrepresented or misunderstood Israel is outside (or maybe also inside) Israel.

That’s the reason for this blog – to show that there is more to Israel than wars, army, corrupt politicians, holy sites and historical sites. The last two – holy sites and historical sites – I show in this blog. The two other things I leave to the general media (who often do a lousy job at that as well).

The Israel I am showing you is seen from my eyes, but I try to present it so that you may find an interest.

My Intention and Purpose

As a guide this blog is also intended to promote tourism to Israel, especially to come to me and through me. I guide full bus tours, but also have my own luxury private car. I have excellent contacts to hotels and can offer you great deals.

There are times of the year, when tourism is low, and I may be able to come out with special offers. The only way you will know about that, is if you subscribe to the Updates, where you will simply receive notification of new postings to this blog (app. 3 times a week) plus the possible special offer.
